Whoever this is: goes off. Can you say sitting pretty?

My friend over @ LEOPARDmilkshake, Mario, said that this is a 'sitting shoe'. I definitely agree!

Hey guys.
Sorry for the lack of material.
But it's down to my last 2 weeks of school. And the time crunch of last minute due assignments, extra credit, and the obstacle of completing the study guide is crucial. So as soon as I wrap everything up I'll be back with all new videos, material, and entertainment.

EYE SPY: D-I-Y

I was making the rounds on my daily blogs, when I came accross this photo.
My initial reaction was "DAMN, she needs a burger" then, I realized what she was wearing was absolutely tres chic!

[Doesn't this remind you of a better version of the A.Wang mesh Micromini?]

Then I got to thinking that this would make for a prefect hooded jacket. It would be mesh (stretch of course) with a visible zipper front and triangle detailing! Triangles + SHAPES are my new thing! D-I Y here I come. I'm thinking black and charcoal grey for my sample colors. I have to get this in the cxMm f/w10 campaign...ASAP.

Hussein Chalayan + SHADE.

You've dot to love the beach innovation. The visor aspect brings a modern approach to a very simple summer time stable! I love it!

ALSO...

I can't get enough of  H. Chalayan's "hand gestures". I really enjoy the hands on and in the clothes. I think it's interesting how they seem sort of urgent and creepy. The idea is very much like the motion-stopped-in-time obsession Hussein Chalayan seems to have throughout their collections.
(Get into it.)

I came across these photos upon looking @ one of my fellow lookbook fans: Joachim (check out his blog). I enjoyed the french styling. It made me think of what the french "kids"[cunts, if you will], are wearing. Ha, it's just a thought. Being edgy these days is becoming more and more difficult. Give it time, heels will become unisex before 2012. I mean really, they basically are already. (Just a thought)

WTF, MMM?

WHY OH WHY??

" I wonder if the models wear refusing to walk the runway... I would."
                            -cxMm.

I'm not one of those sourpusses that thinks clothing always has to have a meaning, but the collection isn't even visually appealing. Not nice on the eyes, and no thought behind it, so what's the point? Maybe this is just a "we'll be right back" collection (I'm hoping), and things will get back on some amazing-minimalistic track soon. GAHHHHH!

EDIT: It IS a new design team. Well. That's gross. It's like Diesel adopted Margiela's baby and made it ugly and wear tacky clothes.

Well at least GAGA still knows and loves the (old) MMM look.
10's across the board!

New York-based label Rodger launches this spring with a relaxed domestic-made range. Drawn to primarily shades of black and gray, the label tackles relaxed tanks, tees and sweats. From the drop crotch approach to double layering, the range takes a zen approach to the spring season, providing for the ultimate comfort.

Neutrals Neutrals Neutrals! This will be exciting to try this year. I must say that the construction and lines in the harem pants are quite intriguing. Structure really brings a masculine will to the "loose" draped feeling that shows through.Lastly, I will have an over-sized circle scarf in the next few days! Dig people, DIG!!

A cold Wintour.

Anna Wintour for the most part, is a pretty mysterious woman. I've always heard about her but hadent really gathered any real knowledge about her place in Fashion. I watched a video(linked) on her from May's 60 minutes w/ Morley Safer. I love her input on why she wears the dark sunglasses: She wears the sunglasses as “armor” so people can’t tell if she’s bored or happy. Get into that!

I am really going in with these looks this f/w. I love layers and colors during winter seasons. Colors really take your mood beyond what the temperature outside may be. I'm impressed with the variation of scale through the red. I feel that red can be bold but if not carried out the right way, extremely cheesy

Oh and that also goes for makeup as well ladies. If your skin tone is flattering with a bold red lip, then take the time to find the scale that fits you best. Sure trying to evoke a classic like is intriguing, but going out looking like a cheap hooker just isn't appealing. (not to the eye anyway) Red is to be my "bold" color for winter this year.

YES!!!!!!!!
Alexander McQueen has done it! Fashion week had me down in the dumps this spring/summer but this collection has me all excited all over again! Really, Do you see these sktscraping heels. Are "heels" even the words for these runway monsters? These are going to be the shoe of the year, I already know. There going to be in EVERY editorial out there. Possilbly just as much as the Nina Ricci floating heel. Who knows. Round of applause to Mr. McQueen!

There have been rumors that the line to alot of inspiration from a Japanese anime cartoon (shown above). I can see the resembalence. I love the collection. The lines and silhoetes are so expressive and complex. Bravo!

Amber: The Model??

I admit this picture threw me off a little bit. My initial reaction was perplexed. In my head I was saying "Really Ford?". Like the agency legit is marketing her to be a model. In my opinion I think its just a name recognition thing, because you know if she wasn't with Kanye she would not be as hyped as she is. However that is only my opinion, and I am only one person. She looks smashing in this ad, and I'm sure all the kids around the world are "living".

That's all.
